On Monday, April 1, the Allen Institute, CZI, and the University of Washington celebrated the Seattle Hub for Synthetic Biology in Seattle’s Dexter Yard and hosted a fireside chat with Steve Quake (Head of CZI Science), Amy Herr (Vice President of CZ Biohub Network), Marion Pepper (Co-Director of the Seattle Hub for Synthetic Biology, Chair of Immunology at University of Washington) and Jay Shendure, M.D., Ph.D. (Lead Scientific Director of the Seattle Hub for Synthetic Biology) moderated by Rui Costa (President and CEO of the Allen Institute). The Seattle Hub for Synthetic Biology will develop technologies to reveal how changes in cells and genes over time influence human health and disease.
